Entomologiczne gabloty

Stare ryciny z owadami to piękne motywy, które znalazły się na najnowszej kolekcji papierów ryżowych od Artistiko. A najbardziej oczywiste skojarzenie to gabloty z owadami, które kiedyś zdobiły pracownie biologiczne i gabinety entomologów. Postanowiłam stworzyć takie właśnie gabloty na bazie organizerów na biurko. W pracy wykorzystałam papier czerpany na który nakleiłam papiery ryżowe. Ramy gablot ozdobiłam papierem scrapowym z motywem starej tapety od Alchemy of Art. Dodałam też złote uchwyty, które dodały pracy elegancji.

Old engravings featuring insects make for beautiful motifs, which feature in Artistiko’s latest collection of rice paper. The most obvious association is with the insect display cases that once adorned biology labs and entomologists’ studies. I decided to create just such display cases using desk organisers as a base. For this project, I used handmade paper onto which I applied rice paper. I decorated the display case frames with scrapbooking paper featuring an old wallpaper motif from Alchemy of Art. I also added gold handles, which lent the piece a touch of elegance.
