W projekcie wykorzystałam kolekcje Alchemy of Art - In silence, Natural Beauty i Art a z nich papier ryżowy, dodatki do wycinania ale także dodatki na tkaninie. Mimo, że kolekcje te kojarzą się raczej z kobiecymi pracami dzięki dodatkom praca świetnie wpisuje się w klimaty męskiego świata. Ciekawa jestem czy Was inspirują do tworzenia kolekcje pozornie nie pasujące do klimatu pracy.

Today I’ve put together a post for you called “The World of Men”, inspired by the upcoming Father’s Day. For this project, I’ve used the Alchemy of Art collections - In Silence, Natural Beauty and Art - specifically the rice paper, die-cut embellishments and fabric embellishments. Although these collections are usually associated with feminine projects, thanks to the embellishments, this piece fits perfectly into the masculine aesthetic. I wonder if collections that seem at first glance to clash with the mood of a project inspire you to create.
Art journal Diny Wakley to przestrzeń, która daje ogromną wolność. Notes zawiera kartki wykonane z różnych materiałów, co od razu prowokuje do eksperymentów i wyjścia poza schemat. Tym razem pracowałam na papierze akwarelowym oraz jucie, łącząc ich zupełnie odmienne faktury – gładką i chłonną z surową, szorstką i bardzo organiczną.
Bazą kompozycji stały się elementy papierowe z kolekcji In Silence od Alchemy of Art – delikatne, nostalgiczne, pełne ciszy i starych historii. Dopełniłam je materiałowym tagiem z tej samej kolekcji, który pięknie wtopił się w całość i dodał pracy głębi oraz miękkości.
Warstwowość budowałam przy pomocy stempla Stamperii oraz rub onsów tej samej marki – subtelne detale, fragmenty tekstów i motywy roślinne tworzą tło, które nie dominuje, ale zaprasza do uważnego patrzenia. Całość spajały farby akrylowe Cadence, a jako fundament posłużyło mi gesso Finnabair, dzięki któremu mogłam swobodnie pracować z kolejnymi warstwami i fakturą.
Ten rozkład to opowieść o starych notatkach, ulotnych myślach i świetle zamkniętym w drobnych detalach. O ciszy, która nie jest pustką, ale przestrzenią na własne myśli.
Art journaling w takim wydaniu to dla mnie nie tylko tworzenie, ale też rozmowa z materiałem – pozwolenie mu, by prowadził mnie tam, gdzie akurat potrzebuję być.

Dina Wakley's art journal is a space that offers tremendous freedom. The notebook contains pages made of various materials, which immediately encourages experimentation and thinking outside the box. This time, I worked on watercolor paper and jute, combining their completely different textures – smooth and absorbent with raw, rough, and very organic.
The basis of the composition was provided by paper elements from the In Silence collection by Alchemy of Art – delicate, nostalgic, full of silence and old stories. I complemented them with a fabric tag from the same collection, which blended beautifully into the whole and added depth and softness to the work.
I built up the layers using a Stamperia stamp and rub-ons from the same brand – subtle details, fragments of text, and floral motifs create a background that does not dominate but invites careful observation. The whole thing was held together with Cadence acrylic paints, and I used Finnabair gesso as a foundation, which allowed me to work freely with subsequent layers and texture.
This spread is a story about old notes, fleeting thoughts, and light captured in small details. About silence that is not emptiness, but space for one's own thoughts.
For me, art journaling in this form is not only about creating, but also about conversing with the material – allowing it to lead me where I need to be.

Nowa kolekcja "In silence" od Alchemy of Arts pełna jest pięknych dodatków vintage zarówno na papierze jak i na tkaninie. Dziś chcę Wam pokazać jak połączyłam w pracy papier scrapowe i dodatki tkaninowe. Najpierw na tkaninowych tagu przygotowałam kompozycję tkaninowych dodatków i naszyłam je warstwowo dzięki czemu przeszycia stały się dodatkowym elementem dekoracyjnym kompozycji. Dodatki bardzo łatwo się wycina i bez problemu naszywa przy pomocy maszyny do szycia, ale możecie to też zrobić ręcznie. Przed przyszyciem brzegi przyciemniłam tuszem. Gotowe tagi podkleiłam grubszym papierem i nakleiłam na przygotowane bazy PCJ dodając parę dodatków papierowych. Zachęcam Was do wykorzystania w pracach tych tkaninowych dodatków w swoich projektach.

The new “In silence” collection from Alchemy of Arts is full of beautiful vintage accessories, both on paper and fabric. Today, I want to show you how I combined scrapbooking paper and fabric accessories in my work. First, I prepared a composition of fabric embellishments on a fabric tag and sewed them in layers, making the stitching an additional decorative element of the composition. The embellishments are very easy to cut out and sew on with a sewing machine, but you can also do it by hand. Before sewing, I darkened the edges with ink. I glued the finished tags onto thicker paper and stuck them onto the prepared PCJ bases, adding a few paper accessories. I encourage you to use these fabric accessories in your projects.
