Wielkanoc już całkiem niedługo więc może czas pomyśleć o ozdobach. 

Ja przygotowałam ramkę - zawieszkę z Panem Zającem od Tima Holtza. 

Rzecz bardzo prosta w przygotowaniu a może być uroczym dodatkiem do domu.

Easter is almost here, so maybe it's time to think about decorations.

I made a frame/hanger with Mr. Rabbit from Tim Holtz.

It's very simple to make and can be a charming addition to your home.

Dziś moją inspiracją dla Was są puszki, które dostały nowe życie i stały się świątecznymi dekoracjami, dzięki pięknym motywom vintage z papierów. Motywy starych etykiet idealnie nadają się do takich projektów. 

Pracę  zaczynamy od odtłuszczenia puszek i przetarcia ich papierem ściernym co zmatowi powierzchnię

Today my inspiration for you are tins that have been given new life and have become Easter decorations, thanks to the beautiful vintage motifs of the papers. The motifs of old labels are perfect for such projects. 

We start by degreasing the tins and rubbing them with sandpaper to matt the surface. 

Kolejny krok to pomalowanie puszek białym gesso i dobranie kolorów farby.

The next step is to paint the tins with white gesso and pick the paint colours.

Do pracy wybrałam farby kredowe w kolorach oliwki i różu vintage. Idealnie pasują one do koloru grafik.

 For the work, I chose chalk paints in olive and vintage pink. They perfectly match the colour of the graphics.

Puszki maluję dwoma warstwami farby, pozwalając im dokładnie wyschnąć. Ponieważ puszki są metalowe nie używam suszarki żeby farba nie odprysneła od powierzchni. Maluję też plastikowe pokrywki puszek. 

I paint the cans with two coats of paint, allowing them to dry thoroughly. Because the cans are metal I do not use a hairdryer to prevent the paint from chipping off the surface. I also paint the plastic lids of the cans. 

Kiedy farba dokładnie wyschnie czas na wybór grafik. Ponieważ papier którego używam to papier klasyczny, wycinam grafiki a przed przyklejeniem lekko je zwilżam i przyklejam klejem do decoupage, dociskając papier pędzlem z klejem.

When the paint has dried thoroughly it is time to choose the graphics. Since the paper I use is classic, I cut out the graphics and before gluing them on, I slightly moisten them and stick them with decoupage glue, pressing the paper with a brush and glue.

Kiedy klej wyschnie czas na lakierowanie. Warto położyć kilka cienkich warstw stosując odstępy czasowe miedzy lakierowaniem tak aby lakier dokładnie wysechł. Zabezpieczy to pracę i ułatwi dalszą pracę. 

Czekając jak lakier wyschnie zanotowałam na pokrywkach puszek ozdobne gałki, które podkreślą retro klimat pracy. 

When the glue is dry, it is time for varnishing. It is advisable to apply several thin layers, with time intervals between them, so that the varnish dries thoroughly. This will protect the work and make further work easier. 

While waiting for the varnish to dry, I annotated the lids of the tins with decorative knobs to emphasise the retro feel of the work. 

Polakierowaną pracę możemy postarzyć. Ja zaczynam od przybrudzenia pracy żelem antycznym, który nakładam płaskim pędzlem w zagłębienia i rozcieram zanim wyschnie. Zastosowałam go również na brzegach etykiet.

The varnished work can be aged. I start the work with antique gel, which I apply with a flat brush to the grooves and smudge before it dries. I also applied it to the edges of the labels.

Ostatni etap to chlapanie biała i ciemna farbą. Używam do tego pędzla wachlarza i szczoteczki. Oczywiście farbę trzeba nieco rozcieńczyć. 

A tak wygląda ostateczny efekt metamorfozy moich puszek. 

The last stage is splashing white and dark paint. I use a fan brush and a brush for this. Of course the paint needs to be diluted a little. 

And this is what the final result of the metamorphosis of my cans looks like.

Wielkanocna pisanka

Dzień dobry. Wielkanoc coraz bliżej więc i u mnie zrobiło się świątecznie. Oto moja kolejna inspiracja dla Retro Kraft Shop. Wielkanocny panel z pisanką długo chodził mi po głowie. Zastanawiałam się jak połączyć foremkę na muffinki, panel i pisankę, aż wszystko ułożyło się w mojej głowie i powstała ta oto dekoracja.

Good morning. Easter is getting closer, so it's starting to feel festive here too. Here is my next inspiration for Retro Kraft Schop. The Easter panel with an egg has been on my mind for a while. I was thinking about how to combine a muffin tin, a panel, and an egg until everything came together in my mind, and this decoration was created.
