Hej! Dzisiaj mam przyjemność zaproponować Wam temat kolejnego wyzwania Retro Teamu.

Jestem strasznym chomikiem, zbieram i przechowuję wszystko, co może zostać ponownie wykorzystane! Nieraz ciężko mi się rozstać z takimi znalezionymi (ocalonymi od wyrzucenia) przydasiami, bo są niepowtarzalne i nie można ich nigdzie kupić, tym bardziej więc są dla mnie cenne. 

Niech Was nie zdziwi zatem fakt, że recykling będzie tematem przewodnim. Zatem zachęcam Was bardzo gorąco do zajrzenia do zapomnianych szuflad i szaf w poszukiwaniu skarbów. A następnie do wykonania z nich fantastycznych projektów!

Hi! Today I have the pleasure to offer you the subject of another Retro Team challenge.
I'm a terrible hoarder. I collect and store everything that can be reused! I often find it difficult to break up with such findings (rescued from being throw away) , since they are unique and can not be bought anywhere, so they are more valuable to me.

Do not be surprised by the fact that recycling will be the main theme. So I encourage you very much to look into the forgotten drawers and cabinets in search of treasures. And then to make with them fantastic projects!

Zasady ogólne wyzwania:

1. Stwórz pracę spełniającą wytyczne wyzwania (poniżej) - publikując pracę opisz w jaki sposób je zinterpretowałaś/eś.

2. Na wyzwanie można zgłaszać wszelkiego rodzaju projekty rękodzielnicze, w dowolnym stylu.

3. Prace powinny być nowe, wcześniej niepublikowane. Na wyzwanie można zgłosić dowolną liczbę projektów (każdą publikując w oddzielnym poście u siebie na blogu). Projekty mogą być zgłoszone do dowolnej ilości innych wyzwań.

4. Zgłaszaną pracę opublikuj na swoim blogu lub stronie na Facebook'u z 'publicznym' ustawieniem widoczności. W opisie zawrzyj informacje o naszym wyzwaniu: banerek wyzwaniowy (na górze tej strony) i link wsteczny do tego posta.

5. Zgłoś pracę za pomocą inlinkz (na dole tego posta), podając linka do posta ze swoją pracą.

6. Zwyciężczynię / zwycięzcę ogłosimy w ciągu 7 dni po zakończeniu wyzwania. Osoba ta otrzyma nagrodę - niespodziankę: zestaw pobudzających kreatywność materiałów do tworzenia (wysyłka nagrody jest bezpłatna na terenie Europy).

General challenge rules:

1. Create a project according to the specific challenge guidelines (below) - in your post, explain how you interpreted them.

2. You can enter all kinds of craft projects, in any style.

Wytyczne mojego wyzwania:

1. W swojej pracy wykorzystaj co najmniej trzy elementy z odzysku, mogą to być: opakowania, metki od ubrań, guziki, elementy popsutej biżuterii/zegarków, makulatura itp. Generalnie im więcej eko produktów, tym lepiej!

2. Wykonywana praca nie może być kartką.

3. Do wykonania projektu nie używaj kwiatów.

My challenge guidelines:

1. In your work use at least three recycled items, they can be: packaging, clothing tags, buttons, items of broken jewelry watches, waste paper, etc. Generally the more eco products, the better!

2. Your project can not be a card.

3. Do not use flowers to complete the project.

Bazą mojego projektu jest pudełko po dużych zapałkach. Oprócz pudełka wykorzystałam: metki od ubrań, stare guziki, metalowe serduszko znalezione na targu staroci, litery z gry Scrabble. Recykling na całego!

The base of my project is a box of big matches. In addition to the box I used: clothes tags, old buttons, metal heart found on the flea market, letters from the game Scrabble. Recycling all over!

Po pomalowaniu pudełka czarnym gesso oraz dodaniu tekstury za pomocą złotego embossingu, przystąpiłam do nakładania moich ukochanych wosków. Wykorzystałam woski z serii Antique Brilliance: Amethyst Magic i Mystic Turquoise oraz z serii Opal Magic: Turquoise Satin i Vintage Silk. Nie mogło oczywiście zabraknąć odcisków z foremek: monogramu i śrubek. Złotego blasku nadała Inka Gold.

After painting a box with black gesso and adding texture with golden embossing, I started to apply my beloved waxes. I used Antique Brilliance waxes: Amethyst Magic and Mystic Turquoise and Opal Magic series: Turquoise Satin and Vintage Silk. Of course, the prints from molds: monogram and screws could not be missing. Inka Gold gave the golden glow.

Teraz czas na mnie. Jak zobaczyłam wytyczne do wyzwania od razu wiedziałam co zrobię. Niedaleko mnie stała butelka po oleju lnianym, która czekała na swoją chwilę. Z koszyczka z rzeczami uratowanymi przed wyrzuceniem dobrałam jeszcze trochę drobiazgów. Stary sznurek koralików, plastikową siatkę ochronną, oczko od breloczka, małą żaróweczkę, śrubki i nakrętki.

Now it's time for me. As I saw the challenge guidelines I immediately knew what to do. Near me stood an empty linseed oil bottle, which waited for its moment. From the basket with the things saved from throwing out I got some more trivia. Old string of beads, plastic protective mesh, key ring, small bulb, screws and nuts.

Butelkę pomalowałam białym gesso renesansu. Po wyschnięciu skorzystałam z zestawu farb pentart - efekt patyny. Nałożyłam też  paste Crackle w kilku miejscach. Całość pobrudziłam tuszem distress.

I painted the bottle with white gesso from Renesans. After drying I used a set of Pentart paint - the effect of patina. I also put Crackle paste in several places. I stained the whole with Distress ink.

Na koniec uzupełniłam kompozycje o sznurek, napis i curly moss. Pamiętając o wytycznych powstrzymałam się przed użyciem kwiatków.

At the end I finished the composition with string, inscription and curly moss. Remembering the guidelines I refrained from using flowers.

Retro KIT: Antyczna butelka / Antique bottle

Hej! Przychodzę dziś do Was z mediowym projektem wykorzystującym wszystkie cztery media, które znalazły się w Retro KIT 'Czas Leci', czyli: Crackle Paint DecoArt, czarnym gesso Renesansu, Antiquing Cream Patina DecoArt i Inką Gold Viva Decor. Wszystkie media - oraz dodatki z KITa oblepiły niewielką butelkę po całkiem niezłym trunku. ;)

Hi! Today I'm here to share with you a mixed media project using all of the four media that can be found in our 'Time Flies' Retro KIT, which are: DecoArt Crackle Paint, black gesso from Renesans, DecoArt Antiquing Cream Patina and Viva Decor Inka Gold. All the media - and some embellishments from the KIT wound up on a small bottle which used to store rather decent liquor. ;)

Na początek oblepiłam całą butelkę bibułką, w którą zapakowany jest KIT, żeby stworzyć teksturę. Dodałam też sznurek, koronkę, wstążkę jutową, korzonki curly moss - wszystko przykleiłam za pomocą żel medium - jako jedynego medium spoza KITa.

First I wrapped the bottle in the tissue paper it comes packed in to create texture. I also added string, lace, burlap ribbon and curly moss pieces - all glued with gel medium - the only medium not within the KIT which I used. 

Na koniec przykleiłam dodatki metalowe i tekturkowe piórka, a następnie przyszedł czas na mediowanie. Po nałożeniu tu i tam i wyschnięciu Crackle Paint całość pomalowałam czarnym gesso (na zdjęciu powyżej stan słoiczka po pomalowaniu butelki - takie jest wydajne!). Potem wszystko pokryłam patynowym kremem, a gdy wysechł starłam go mokrą chusteczką tak, że pozostał tylko w zagłębieniach.

Then I adhered some metal embellishments and chipboard feathers and next, time came for media work. After applying Crackle Paint here and there and letting it dry, I covered the whole thing with black gesso (the amount in the jar above is what was left - it really goes a long way!). Then I applied the patina cream everywhere, and when it dried I wiped it away with a wet wipe, leaving it only in the recesses.

W końcu przyszedł czas na złotą Inkę Gold - nakładaną palcem tak, by podkreślić trójwymiar projektu. Zostawiamy do wyschnięcia - i gotowe! Tak z pomocą KITa zmediować możecie dowolny przedmiot.

Finally, the time came for Inka Gold - applied with my fingers so as to highlight the dimensionality of the project. Leave to dry - and there it is! That's how, using the KIT, you can media-alter basically any object you like.

Wyniki sKraftuj to! / Kraft it! Results

Oto wyniki drugiego wyzwania z serii 'sKraftuj to!' - tym razem zaprosiliśmy Was do kreatywnej zabawy z maskami i szablonami. Wybór był niełatwy, ale Retro Team zagłosował i zwyciężczyni została wyłoniona!

Here are the results of the second 'Kraft it!' challenge - this time we asked you to make creative use of masks and stencils. The choice wasn't easy, but the Retro Team cast their votes and we were able to establish the winner!

Art journalowy wpis WuWu urzekł nas piękną paletą kolorystyczną, mnóstwem cudnych detali i świetnym retro-charakterem.

WuWu's art journal entry enchanted us with its beautiful colour palette, lots of great detail and the amazing retro feel.

Retro Inspiracje: Brzozowy album Letike / Retro Inspirations: Letike's birch bark album

Hej!

Jak tylko zobaczyłam w Retro Kraft Shop arkusze brzozy od razu wiedziałam co muszę z nimi zrobić -album! I tak oto powstał, mój brzozowy nieduży albumik.

Hi! As soon as I saw the birch bark sheets at Retro Kraft Shop, I knew what to make with them - an album! And that's how it came to be, my birch mini-album.

Arkusze brzozy są po prostu świetne. Nie ma potrzeby już robić żadnej tekstury bo same są ozdobą. Oczywiście na okładce zaszalałam z ozdobami, a do dlatego, że nie mogłam się oprzeć zestawom Tima Holtza i Primowej żarówce.

The birch bark sheets are just great. You don't need to work on any more texture, as they provide it themselves. Of course, I had to go crazy with embellishing the cover because I couldn't resist Tim Holtz ephemera and the Prima bulb.

Nie mogło jednak też zabraknąć odrobiny mediowania. Wykorzystałam mgiełkę distress oraz farbę Art Alchemy. Ciemna mgiełka pomogła mi uwydatnić zakamarki kory, a farbka dodała całości blasku.

I couldn't do without some media work, though. I used Distress spray and Art Alchemy paint. The dark mist made the nooks and crannies in the bark more visible and the paint added a bit of shine.

Żarówka uzyskała swój kolor równie dzięki farbce Primy. Ciężko pokazać na zdjęciu jak pięknie się mieni.

The colour of the bulb is thanks to the Prima paint as well. It's difficult for the photo to reflect its beautiful shimmer.

Nawet do małej buteleczki wlałam wyłącznie wcześniej wymienione dwa media. Efektem sama byłam mile zaskoczona.

Even the tiny bottle was filled with only the two previously mentioned media. I was pleasantly surprised by the result myself.

Zdjęcie powyżej przedstawia narzędzie, bez którego nie wyobrażam sobie pracy. Uwielbiam dodawać tagi w swoich pracach i nie lubię jak dziurka wygląda mało estetycznie. Big Bite-em bez większego wysiłku robię dziurkę i zakładam ćwiek. Świetnie też poradził sobie z dziurkowaniem brzozy.

The photo above shows one tool I find indispensable. I love adding tags to my projects and I like the punched holes to look neat. I use the Big Bite to easily punch the hole and set the eyelet. It also did great punching through the birch sheets.

Nie chciałam mocno szaleć wewnątrz albumu. Gaza, odrobina dodatków i mediów. Trochę warstw.
I didn't want to go all crazy inside the album. Cheesecloth, some embellishments and media. Some layers.

Mój brzozowy albumik jeszcze trochę pomieści na kołach. Niebawem dołączą do niego kolejne strony. Cieszę się, że już jest, a zdjęcia nie czekają kolejnego miesiąca na oprawę.

My birch album will fit a few more pages on its large binding rings. Soon, more pages will appear. I'm glad the album's here and the photos won't be waiting another month to be displayed.
