Retro Inspiracje: Srebrno-szara płaskorzeźba / Retro Inspirations: Silver-grey relief sculpture

Cześć,

Dziś chciałabym podzielić się z Wami jedną z moich ulubionych form, czyli płaskorzeźbą. Mam do niej wyjątkową słabość chyba też dlatego, że żeby stworzyć tego rodzaju projekt można użyć naprawdę najróżniejszych materiałów bazowych i mediów, a efekt będzie za każdym razem odrobinę (albo bardzo :) ) inny.

Hello,

Today I'd like to share with you one of my favourite project types, which is a relief sculpture. One reason I like it so much is that to create this kind of project, you can use a whole variety of base elements and media and the result will be slightly (or very :) ) different every time.

Time time, after I created my background using DecoArt's modeling paste and a Crafter's Workshop stencil plus some mica flakes, I added decorative shapes made with Prima's Paper Clay and silicone moulds - the clay itself gives a vintage kind of effect, it's not perfectly smooth and it produces some cracks, which can be highlighted with media later on.

Całość pokryłam farbami akrylowymi DecoArt, mieszając odcień szary Medium Grey Value 3 i kremowy Titan Buff. Po wyschnięciu całość projekty pokryłam czarnym kremem postarzającym Antiquing Cream, a gdy i on wysechł (co dzieje się bardzo szybko), starłam go mokrą chusteczką z powierzchni - a on pięknie ułożył się i został w zagłębieniach wypukłych kształtów i podkreślając nierówne elementy tła.

I covered the whole thing with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics, mixing Medium Grey Value 3 and Titan Buff. I let that dry and then covered it all with black Antiquing Cream. It dried quickly and after it did, I removed it from the raised areas with a wet wipe - it stayed in all the lower areas and cracks, highlighting the clay elements and the background beautifully.

Na koniec na wystające elementy palcem nałożyłam Inkę Gold w kolorze Platinum, żeby jeszcze bardziej podkreślić trójwymiar, a w dolnych częściach dekorów zrobiłam zacieki srebrną mgiełką Distress Spray Stain.

Finally, I applied Inka Gold in Platinum to the raised areas to further highlight the dimensional character of the project, and at the bottom of the decorative elements I added some silver drips with Distress Spray Stain in Brushed Pewter.

Gotowe. :)

When everything was dry, I sealed the whole thing with DecoArt Ultra-Matte Varnish, which I previously mixed with water and poured into a sprayer - this way I spread the varnish over the work without disturbing the media on the surface. Done. :)

Mam nadzieję, że takie szaro-srebrne wydanie płaskorzeźby przypadnie Wam do gustu. :)
I hope this silver-grey relief sculpture strikes your fancy. :)
