Mroczne nastroje, Halloween to coś co pojawia się w moich pracach o tej porze roku. Dziś mam dla Was inspirację do stworzenia takiej właśnie dekoracji do której wykorzystałam butelkę. Ponieważ moja butelka jest dość płaska postanowiłam umieścić grafikę na tyle butelki i uzyskać efekt głębi. Wykorzystałam grafikę z papieru ryżowego Artistiko. Przód butelki ozdobiłam naklejkami Scraplove na folii co daje ciekawy efekt. Postacie wyglądają jak duchy.

Dark moods, Halloween is something that comes up in my work at this time of year. Today I have some inspiration for just such a decoration for which I used a bottle. As my bottle is quite flat, I decided to place the artwork on the back of the bottle to create a depth effect. I used artwork from Artistiko rice paper. I decorated the front of the bottle with Scraplove stickers on foil for an interesting effect. The characters look like ghosts.
Butelkę najpierw dokładnie umyłam i odtłuściłam. Następnie nakleiłam papier ryżowy (pamiętajcie że w takim wypadku papier naklejamy odwrotnie (grafika do powierzchni).
I first washed and degreased the bottle thoroughly. Then I glued on the rice paper (remember that in this case the paper should be glued the other way (the graphic to the surface).
Ponieważ grafika ma ciemną ramkę, tył butelki wokół grafiki pomalowałam fluidami wymieszanymi z białym gesso aby uzyskać odpowiedni odcień. Samą grafikę maluję białym gesso aby podbić jej kolor.
Because the graphic has a dark frame, the back of the bottle around the graphic I painted with fluid mixed with white gesso to get the right shade. I paint the graphic itself with white gesso to boost its colour
Chcę aby moja praca miała dużo różnych faktur, dlatego butelkę okleiłam chusteczkami. Chusteczki rozdzielamy na pojedyncze warstwy, dzielimy na mniejsze kawałki i naklejamy przy pomocy kleju do decoupage. Układając kawałki papieru, tworzymy nieregularne powierzchnie. Pamiętam oczywiście o zostawieniu miejsca z przodu butelki, przez które będzie widoczna grafika.
I want my work to have lots of different textures so I covered the bottle with tissues. Separate the tissues into individual layers, divide them into smaller pieces and stick them on with decoupage glue. Arrange the pieces of paper to create an irregular surface. I remember, of course, to leave a space at the front of the bottle through which the graphics will be visible.
Dodaję jeszcze oplatające butelkę korzenie z kleju na gorąco. Całość maluję czarnym gesso a następnie na odcienie granatu. Po wyschnięciu całość przecieram metodą suchego pędzla, białym gesso.
I also add wrapping roots from hot glue around the bottle. I paint the whole thing with black gesso and then in shades of navy blue. When dry, I dry-brush the whole thing with white gesso.
Chciałam też dodać trochę pajęczyn do których wykorzystałam gazę. Do barwienia gazy wykorzystuję mgiełki. Najpierw nakładam ciemniejszą i spryskuję wodą aby mgiełka wynikła w materiał. Gdy gaza wyschnie, spryskuję ja jaśniejszą mgiełka, rozkładam i zostawiam do wyschnięcia.
I also wanted to add some spider webs for which I used gauze. To dye the gauze I use mist. I first apply the darker one and spray it with water so that the mist emerges into the fabric. Once the gauze is dry, I spray it with a lighter mist, spread it out and leave it to dry.
Teraz zaczyna się prawdziwa zabawa. Doklejam gazę, cieniuję prace i wydobywam faktury. A tak ostatecznie prezentuje się moja mroczna butelka.
Now the real fun begins. I glue on the gauze, shade the work and bring out the textures. And this is how my creepy bottle finally presents itself.
