Kształt drewnianej gwiazdy od razu podyktował mi tematykę mojej pracy.

Wszystko szybko stało się dla mnie jasne: gwiazdy i planety, 

a paleta kolorystyczna zaczerpnięta ze zdjęcia.

Okrągłe tekturki to orbity, a kryształki to gwiazdy i planety.

Przesłanie: 

"Jesteś dla mnie całym wszechświatem".

The shape of the wooden star immediately dictated to me the subject of my work.

Everything quickly became clear to me: stars and planets, 

and a color palette adopted from the photo.

The round chiboards are the orbits, and the crystals are the stars and planets.

The message:
"You are the whole universe to me".

Hej kochani! 

wiem że pora na kalendarze już minęła 

ale był taki jeden ostatni, który leżał sobie w szafie i czekał aż z nim zrobię porządek.

Hello everyone!

I know that the time for calendars has passed

but there was this last one I had just lying there waiting for me to take care of

zatem biorąc go pod skrzydła stworzyłam mediową okładkę

cala w kolorze nieba;)

so I took it under my wings and created a mixed media cover

all in the colours of the sky

oczywiście na koniec musiałam dodać moje ukochane kaboszony

tabliczki Tima i chlapania 

of course at the end I had to add my beloved cabochons

Tim's word bands and some splashing

by dodać mu troszkę bardziej vintagowego wyglądu

brzegi postemplowałam Distressem 

natomiast stemple odbiłam niezawodnym Archivalem!

to make it a bit more vintage

I stamped the edges with Distress Ink

and stamped with the irreplacable Archival Ink!

a na koniec mały akcent w postaci listków od Snipartu ;)

finally, a small accent in the form of leaves by Snipart ;)

Pora na kolejną edycję wyzwania Retromania! :)

Time for a new edition of the Retromania challenge! :)

O wyzwaniu i udziale słów kilka:

- Stwórz pracę w stylu retro - vintage, shabby chic, steampunk lub jakąkolwiek inną z wyraźną nutą tego, co w starym stylu, stare lub postarzone.

- Na wyzwanie można zgłaszać wszelkiego rodzaju projekty: LO, kartki, tagi, art journaling, mixed media, altered art, decoupage, biżuteria i co komu jeszcze przyjdzie do głowy. :)

- Prace powinny być nowe, wcześniej nie publikowane. Na wyzwanie możesz zgłosić jedną pracę. Praca może być zgłoszona na dowolną ilość innych wyzwań.

- W pracach nie trzeba używać produktów z naszego sklepu.

- Zgłaszaną pracę opublikuj na swoim blogu, w notce zawrzyj informacje o naszym wyzwaniu, zamieść banerek wyzwania (powyżej) i link wsteczny do tego posta.

- Zgłoś pracę za pomocą inlinkz (na dole tego posta), podając linka do posta ze swoją pracą.

- Zwyciężczynię / zwycięzcę oraz wyróżnienia ogłosimy w przeciągu 5 dni po zakończeniu wyzwania.

- Zwyciężczyni / zwycięzca otrzyma nagrodę przydasiową (wysyłka nagrody jest bezpłatna na terenie Europy) i jednorazowy rabat 10% na zakupy w sklepie. Autorki/autorzy prac wyróżnionych otrzymają jednorazową zniżkę 10% na zakupy w sklepie. Zniżki można wykorzystać w ciągu miesiąca od zakończenia wyzwania.

- Wyzwanie trwa od 1. do 21. lutego.

A few words about the challenge and participation:

- Make a retro style project - vintage, shabby chic, steampunk or anything else with a visible hint of the old-fashioned.

- You can enter with all sorts of projects: layouts, cards, tags, art journal pages, mixed media projects, altered art, decoupage, jewellery and anything else you come up with. :)

- The projects should be new, previously unpublished. You can enter one project in the challenge. You can enter the same project in any number of other challenges.

- You do not have to use products from our shop to participate.

- Post the project on your blog, include info about our challenge with the challenge banner (at the top) and and a return link to this postl.

- Enter with inlinkz (at the bottom) with the link to your project post.

- We will announce the winner and honourable mentions within 5 days after the closing date.

- The winner will receive a prize (shipping of the prize is free within Europe) and a single-use 10% discount coupon to our shop. The honourable mentions will receive single-use 10% discount coupons for our shop. Al the discounts can be used within one month after the end of the challenge.

- The challenge starts 1st and closes 21st February.

Tym razem nagrodą jest zestaw 'drewniany': baza shadowboxowa, duża butla preparatu do spękań 'Weathered Wood' i zestaw drewnianych elementów. 

This time around the prize is a 'wooden' set: a shadowbox, a big bottle of 'Weathered Wood' crackling medium and a set of wooden embellishments.

A teraz odrobina wyzwaniowej retro-inspiracji.

And now for a little bit of challenge retro-inspiration.

Hej! Dzisiaj przychodzę do Was z bardzo industrialnym blejtramem z kobiecym akcentem. Na początku pokryłam mój blejtram stronami ze starej książki oraz dodałam 3 prostokąty z grubej tektury, by moje tło było ciekawsze. Następnie zabezpieczyła powierzchnię używając przeźroczystego i białego gesso i dodałam trochę struktury używając pasty modelującej i maski.

Hi! Today I'm going to show you my very industrial canvas with a feminine touch. I covered my canvas using old book pages and then I added 3 rectangles of thick cardboard to make my background more interesting. Next I secured the surface using clear and white gesso and I added some texture using a modeling paste and a stencil.

W mojej kompozycji możecie znaleźć mnóstwo industrialnych ozdób jak rury i krany, żarówki (1 i 2) i nakrętki.
 In my composition you can find many industrial embellishments like pipes and taps, bulbs (1 i 2) and nuts. 

Pod moją kompozycję kwiatową włożyłam metalową serwetkę i kwiatka, a na kawałku sznurka zawisła metalowa żarówka.

Under my flower composition I put a metal doily and a metal flower. A metal bulb is hanging on a piece of twine.

Na końcu dodałam kilka kaboszonów (1 i 2), postemplowałam nieco (używająz StazOna) i dodałam kilka czarnych chlapnięć, by moja praca była bardziej konstrastowa.

Finally I added some cabochons (1 and 2), stamps (using StazOn ink) and black splashes to make my project more contrasty.

Tworząc ten wpis do art journala starałam się uzyskać efekt rdzawych 'chemicznych oparów'. Przysłowiowe pierwsze skrzypce gra tutaj zestaw stempli 'The Chemist' Tima Holtza (wzory stemplowałam tuszem Archival) oraz farby DecoArt z serii Media Fluid Acrylics - kremowa Titan Buff, brązowa Burnt Sienna oraz świetnie udająca rdzę Quinacridone Gold - tutaj sprayowana wodą podczas nakładania w celu stworzenia efektu wspomnianych oparów.Taki to właśnie chemiczny steampunk. :)

When creating this art journal entry, I tried to achieve a rusty 'chemical fumes' effect. The proverbial first fiddle here is played by Tim Holtz 'The Chemist' stamp set (stamped with Archival ink) and DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic paints - cream Titan Buff, brown Burnt Sienna and Quinacridone Gold, which is perfect for rust effects, here sprayed with water while being applied to create the aforementioned fumes effect. And so here's a bit of chemical steampunk. :)
